Im on Youtube

So after a while of debating I decided to go ahead and try youtube again. I started my youtube channel a couple of years ago, but I had trouble scheduling myself to get videos up regularly. Plus I was never really happy with the work I was producing. Now Im older I really think it'll be a fun outlet for me to develop my skills and express ideas. So go over and check it out if you fancy. I will still be continuing my blog.

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara all its cracked up to be?

One word YES!
Im already a huge fan of urban decay although their products are on the pricier side they are always reliabe and I know I will get my moneys worth. Ive been looking for a good everyday mascara for a while now, and id herd about perversion before from many friends and other bloggers. But I wasn't expecting to love it as much as I do!

Lets start with the wand, now just from looking at the brush you can see its very big with lots of bristles. This basically means that there will be a lot more coverage over the lashes when applying. Which for someone like me is a big help, as my eyelashes are very small and thin, so they definitely help volumizes them without making them resemble spiders legs. Which tends to be the case with many drug store massacres I have used in the past.

Another thing I love about urban decay is there untouchable packaging. I know the saying goes 'you can't judge a book by its cover' but I'm a sucker for make-up in pretty packaging. I don't know why I just think make-up is such a girly thing, they should dress the products up for us. I don't want some boring product sitting on the side looking unflattering, I want it to stand out and make me want to use it. This definitely does the trick, although its simple its just looks great, with the glossy finish and the purple writing.

So to sum up, if you want a really great mascara that makes your lashes look flawless and natural then this is deffiently something to look at. Its not crazy expensive you'll be looking at £18-£20 depending where you buy it from but its well worth it, when your spending £6 plus every month trying to find a decent drug store one.
On that note if anyone does have any other massacres they've been loving please let me know, since i kind of have love/hate relationship with this particular eye make-up, and I need more decent masscara so i'd be super grateful. Thankyou for reading, if you got this far!

University Life

I haven't wrote a post in a few weeks and even though I've only started my blog last month I have really missed it. I've not been away through choice its just a very exciting time of my life has begun. I have finally packed my bags and moved into my halls of residence in London city.

Moving can be a very big deal for anyone, especially when you have moving out of you family home for the first time to live alone. But moving 3 hours away from anyone I know has proven to be an extremely emotional roller coaster. Whilst I am having an amazing time and meeting lots of new people and basically starting my life its also very stressful and overwhelming. So I'm not going to dwell on how much I'm missing back home to much, my main reason of this post was for one to update you on what I'm doing, and to, to give you guys a few ways to make your student room feel a bit more homely, if you are planning on going to university in the coming years.

So first of, the rooms will be small whatever university you go to! So its important to not take to much stuff as you don't want to clutter your room up as soon as you get there. I just took all my main things I needed clothes, make-up, jewellery, my camera etc. But everything else I left because I knew if I needed to I could get them next time I visit home. Now I took quite a few little bits and bobs to make my room feel more like my own, although its not perfect at the moment there are a few more bits I want to get from home, I  am loving it right now and to be honest it really does help me when I'm having a bit of a down day. So heres some pictures to give you some examples.

Lush, Lush, Lush

'Breath of fresh air' Toner water

I’ve always been a huge fan of lush, since the store opened in my town. One thing I don't like is how all of the staff seems to jump on you asking questions as soon as you walk in the door, some people find that helpful but I find it extremely awkward and it makes me want to run for the hills. However recently I decided I'd give them a chance. After explaining to a very helpful woman that I’d been having a lot of trouble with my face recently she recommended I tried their ‘Breath of fresh air toner water.’

The spray has a distinct smell of the seaside, it’s not a strong smell, which is handy when it’s something you’re likely to be using everyday. All you need do is spray the water over your face then just leave it to dry, another way to apply, is to just spray on cotton wool and massage into the face. I personally like to just keep it in my bag as its a small bottle, and then throughout the day if my face feels a bit dull then I give it a little spray and it makes me feel so much more awake and fresh.  I can definitely feel the difference in the way my face feels and looks, one negative comment I would have, is I wish they sold bigger bottles of it.

A Burst of Summer

 Revlon Colourburst matte balm crayons

Now I don't know about you but where I live in the UK we are quickly coming to an end of our summer, although it has been a beautifully warm summer which is not always the case when it comes to the english sun.

Now I am a huge lover of lipsticks, especially in summer and spring time because it becomes expectable to wear bright lipsticks which is my favourite. So after using these revlon colourbust lip crayons pretty much all summer I must say I'm more than impressed. The two shades I have picked to show you are 'Showey' and 'Audacious.'

Let me first start off with how smooth and easy these went onto my lips, they also had a very moisturising feel whilst applying and through out the day, never drying out my lips at all. Which is not always something you can say when using a matte lip balm. They also have an amazing mint  sent to them this is definitely a plus for me, I hate to use a lip product that has a bad oder or taste. The one downfall I would say about this product is it does need re-applying a lot through out the day, and it tend to rub off whilst eating and drinking etc. But this is a drugstore brand that cost round about £7 so what can you expect really.

Personally I think that lip crayons are so much easier to use than a typical lipstick, the shape of them just helps me to fill my lips in perfectly without any accidents. The revlon courburst line itself does have two styles the matte balm (which is the two I will be talking about in this post) or the laquer balm which gives your lips a more glossy look. I am a much bigger fan of matte lipsticks than gloss, I just think they look better and tend to stay on longer.

'Showey' is a beautiful pinky/purple colour and is a great touch to any natural make-up giving it a little extra flare and umph. This shade definitely can help turn any daytime look into a dressed up and ready to go out look.
'Audacious' is a very vibrant orange shade, I must admit this is the only orange lipstick I own. I have wanted one for years but I feel its a very daring colour to try and pull off. But its safe to say I absolutely love it and I'll definitely be buying more orange shades of lipsticks in the future. I tended to use this as a daytime lipstick as I felt it would bring together and of my make-up looks together and it just goes well with any outfit I wore.
The colours go on exactly the same colour as they look, and you only need one coat too!

Overall I am super please with these Lipsticks and I'll definitely be repurchasing next summer! If your on a budget and looking for a bright burst of colours this is perfect for you.
